Ophrys holubyana × Ophrys insectifera
In wonderful landscape of Turčianská kotlina valley between mountains Malá Fatra and Velká Fatra there are plenty of localities, which are rich to various botanical treasure and of course also rich to orchids. In one locality we can find population of species Ophrys holubyana and Ophrys insectifera. Hybridisation between these two taxa appears here. Occurence of hybrid of these two interesting species is known since 2003. This hybrid has not its own botanical name till now. Procházka in his book (1980) has mentioned hybrid Ophrys ×devenensis from Súlovské skály mountains. But this hybrid is hybrid of species Ophrys holosericea a Ophrys insectifera. At that time was population of Ophrys holubyana from this area taken as subspecies of Ophrys holosericea (Ophrys holosericea subsp. holubyana). But in those days this hybrid was not described neither like nothosubspecies. Considering this and also regarding to the fact that this hybrids were found in the territory of Slovakia I would like to suggest this hybrid to be described as Ophrys ×slavica.

Kříženec je typicky intermediárního vzhledu, záměna na lokalitě výskytu je prakticky nemožná.
Hybrid has typical intermediary appearance, its confusion is practically impossible.
